Cosmetic Dental Bonding

9301060_sCosmetic dental bonding is a type of veneer, but the material added to the fronts of the teeth are composite or tooth-colored filling material (instead of ceramic), and the procedure is completed in one appointment (no impression, no fabrication by a dental laboratory). Bonding can correct imperfections like gaps between teeth, shape and color at a lower cost to the patient. The disadvantages of this procedure are that the porosity of composite material allows it to absorb stain and makes it weaker, resulting in worn edges over time. Bonding is usually more conservative in preserving the existing tooth structure, so in some situations, bonding may be the preferred treatment. Let Dr. Taylor discuss the advantages of bonding with you.
